Materials: Acrylic worsted weight yarn.

• 40 [2’ by 2’] squares crocheted by craftivists all around the country protesting the overturning of Roe v Wade.

• The first mural was created in Portland Oregon at Revolution Hall for Planned Parenthoods Abortion Justice Field Day. Since then sister murals have been created in these other states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NV, NYC, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, & WI

Sound vs Text

This is a small sample from a larger set of 40+ recordings.

The intention is to really hear what people are saying by adding the visual text and removing the distractions of the visuals. The viewer is encouraged to notice the difference between reading the text without sound, vs listening to just the sound and notice the different biases and perceptions one gleans from the two different experiences.
